I have a futon in my office and sometimes guests sleep on it. I also have a special futon mattress if guests need to use the futon as a bed. These pads really keep the mattress from sliding off the futon. Sometimes I place a mattress topper on top of a futon and put a pad between the mattress and the frame, mattress and mattress topper. There is no slip! And guests tell me how comfortable my futon is. They tell me they didn't know a futon could be so comfortable. I spent the night on friends' futons and didn't find them as comfortable as my own and I had mattress slippage. This sliding could be prevented with one or two such spacers. These pads are a lifesaver when you can't feel the pad through your mattress or mattress pad. You can use these covers under the topper if you only use the futon as a sofa. They are very comfortable. And they hold up! You're not going to buy new ones every few months. I've had mine for a while and they show no signs of wear. If you have a futon, I recommend these futon pads to prevent slipping. You will not be disappointed.
