I needed a new bed and convenient delivery right to my door. I was a little nervous about buying the bed from Amazon, but I took a chance. The bed came rolled up in a box that weighed about 70 pounds. The rolled bed was held in place by a thicker sheet of plastic that could be cut with an envelope cutter that came with the bed. You use this to avoid cutting your mattress when you remove the plastic. It attaches very quickly and you can watch the bed grow before your eyes. We put the mattress on top of an old box spring and it went up straight away, it says 72 hours but to be honest it was up and running within an hour. There was a plastic smell upon opening, but it goes away once you get out of the plastic a bit. Within an hour the bed was higher than my old mattress and felt so good on mine. The gel top is dead for no joke. You melt into bed and don't want to get out. The bed is zipped with a cover that can be removed for washing. I used a slip cover to make washing easier. Summary: Aside from being easy to order, this is the most desirable bed ever made. 12 inches amazing.
