Background: I bought a used truck in 2016, it only came with a keyless remote which seemed strange to me at the time. Fast forward to January 2020, lost key and remote, didn't bother to replace it until September, went to the Chevrolet dealership, had a new key made, worked with no problems, bought the remote, had to bring it in for service, they couldn't program new remote right away so had to make an appointment, service charge is 150, after 3 hours and 4 calls they say they can't program it. Return the remote, did a little research, found this programmer and the remote, read the reviews and bought it based on most of the reviews saying they have a WT Silverado breaking down a 2014 Silverado WT. First try and setup, doesn't work, second try. have a low battery please turn on the motor to charge, mmm ok the battery was fully charged the 3rd try worked with no problems so maybe wasted 2 minutes to set up the remote for programming. I kind of thought I was going to get in trouble as my dad would always say ok but there were always problems, he was the owner of a long Chevy anyway. I think if you have a Chevy WT (Work Truck) version and you need a remote control, this will suit you!
