Therefore, the sound quality is poor when using Dot paired with a Bluetooth soundbar and original Echo. Already a Playbar and Sub owner, I know the sound quality will be pretty good, and the Alexa integration is definitely a bonus. HOWEVER, the device comes with a few caveats. - No call from above when it hears the trigger word and instead beeps that it heard you, just like you can set up on any Echo device. - Subprograms are currently not being executed. It broke the deal for me. Drop In is currently not working. Another deal breaker. The last two points are likely to be addressed by Revain, but unless you check before you buy what the Sonos One CANNOT do, assume any Alexa-enabled device has Echo capabilities. This was a disappointing purchase for me. Yes, the sound is better and multi-room music works as expected, but it's not a product to look at if you're used to or replacing the existing Echo. HOPE these features will be fixed at some point. :/
