The product was ordered as a gift before the New Year. When it stopped working in February we contacted the company and were told they had a 90 day guarantee and it had just expired even though it was open over Christmas. When the product worked everything was fine. Water readings have never been so accurate. We always had a reading that was 4-6 ounces higher than right at the end of the bottle. If you leave the water overnight and empty it the next day, that water will be counted. It's very difficult to get ice in a bottle. If you do that, it only lasts an hour or so and it's gone. There is no insulation at all in the bottle. Not such a big deal, just thought I'd bring it up. If you're cleaning a bottle, you'll have to unscrew the top and bottom of the bottle to clean, as you can't use a bottle brush assembly to compete with a large sensor. sticking to the inside of the top of the bottle. The bottom of the bottle has a real O-ring to keep it from leaking. Basically, you have to set the o-ring a certain way for it to work, and it's difficult to keep it there. When assembled, if not perfectly, then it flows everywhere. They could have made it much better. The battery is a large button cell and it doesn't last long. It's not rechargeable, as one would expect from such a device today. Bottled water has always tasted great, no weird smells or anything. In terms of durability, it's terrible. I used mine for water at the office. Never dropped or thrown. In other words, this thing was a child compared to how others could use it. There's just no excuse for it being broken. Because of this and the fact that the company only has a 90 day guarantee, they know there is a problem and the product will break. Save money and get a better bottle like Yeti or Hydroflask for the same price. Bottles are way better.
