Although I love this bottle, my first bottle leaked after the second wash. I have a spare but I'm afraid to unscrew the bottom so I washed it with the bottom which is really difficult to clean the white stick sensor that runs top to bottom down the middle of the bottle. Expect them to correct these kinks by the 3rd generation. If this seal had been better designed, this thing would have gotten 5 stars all the way. The product was ordered as a gift before the New Year. When it stopped working in February we contacted the company and were told they had a 90 day guarantee and it had just expired even though it was open over Christmas. When the product worked everything was fine. Water readings have never been so accurate. We always had a reading that was 4-6 ounces higher than right at the end of the bottle.
