Didn't repel a flea

I don't know how these bastards got into my house - either via boots or via a rescued kitten. I applied them to my three house cats the same day I received them after a thorough flea comb. All 3 were treated with Advantage II 3 weeks ago and since opening it has been a daily struggle to evict thankless free riders. I got these collars to keep out new fleas, which I found despite daily vacuuming, diatomaceous earth, brushing out fleas almost daily with Blue Dawn/water mix, furniture flea spray, washing everything that wasn't nailed down, shampooing carpets, adding lavender oil human skin was missing. Put lotion on most of my daughter's blankets and throw them away after washing. In any case, I waited a few days to comb the cats for fleas and was dismayed to find live fleas hanging just below the collars meant to scare them away. All the cats had no sense of evil and they are all mad at me for putting collars on them. What a waste of money.
