Will not work with Samsung ML-1865W printer

Bought this product about 2 months ago as a replacement cartridge. Just pop it into your Samsung ML-1865W printer this week. The printer did not recognize this cartridge. I've tried turning it on/off, taking it out and putting it back in several times, but the problem hasn't gone away. The warning light was on the whole time. I should try it if it arrived the first time. It's too late to return this item.
