This was a last minute purchase before my cat Rosie's first (unexpected) flight so my choice of soft carrier was a bit limited. I needed one day shipping and free returns as I was planning to order a pair to make sure I like them. I've also flown Express and underseat space can get tight at times. I needed a medium that could fit into weird spaces without breaking down. It meets the criteria! I'm giving this a 5 because 4+ isn't an option. I like it, with one exception that is important to me: bags. There are two small ones with zippers. I take a soothing spray, treats, and medication just in case, and they're very safe, but I'd like something more appropriate for documents. Either a zipper on the part that slides over the luggage handle, or maybe a tighter elastic or Velcro flap on one of the side pockets. I had to keep records of their shots and a leash and the pockets weren't secure enough for me to trust. I also find it a bit ugly, would have liked other colors, but it doesn't really matter. The pros far outweigh the cons and if I couldn't find these things with a large document pouch I would buy these again and again. It takes shape immediately and holds it well. We flew on an express flight, so there was little space under the seats. I needed a medium that could validate down to odd spaces but not break down. That was excellent. It also had a top opening, lockable zippers, seat belt clips, and a small opening I could reach in to pet. I think it's supposed to be a viewing window for your cat, but my skinny cat could climb right out. I also like zippers.
