Comfortable, lightweight, durable and priced at $18

Finding a good shoulder strap isn't easy and the OPTECH SOS is one of the best designs: comfortable, lightweight, durable and easy to attach/remove. The nylon webbing is standard on travel and camera straps, and the metal hooks are nice but nothing extraordinary. What sets this harness apart is the comfortable neoprene shoulder pad: soft, grippy, and hugs the contour of your shoulder no matter how hard you strain it. If you've used a belt with a stiff pad that digs into your shoulder like a hungry dog, you'll appreciate how the pad hugs your body and distributes the load evenly. The comfort level of this belt compares well with the Victorinox Comfort. Matching shoulder strap, black, one size. Victorinox has a wider, thicker and longer neoprene liner, outperforming SOS under heavy loads. However, at $18, SOS is 40% cheaper and perfect for camera bags, messenger bags, or any light to medium load. I use SOS on a fiberglass (ultra light) classic guitar case and my shoulder feels blessed compared to the original strap. Also works well with my camera bag. There is a small issue with heavier weights, like a guitar case, that the neoprene shoulder pad stretches and compresses as you walk, resulting in a slight bounce. No problem with lighter loads like typical courier or camera bags. The Victorinox shoulder pad is also made of neoprene, but does not bounce due to the use of a thicker material. Finally, this flimsy strap is made in the USA, while most straps like Victorinox are made in China (my OPTECH camera case is made in the USA). also done). Thank you OPTECH for thinking outside the box and making quality products for the USA at a reasonable price.
