These tweezers look great, feel good and are well made. I've ordered two pairs in case I get a bad one, the other should be as advertised. I am a carpenter and contractor and due to the daily intrusion of splinters I carry tweezers with me at all times. They work pretty well with shards as long as there are enough of them to hold on to. With a fairly thick end, they're not that good when you need to dig. My wife tried to pluck her eyebrows with it, but she just couldn't grab the finer hairs. The same story was with both couples. I will definitely keep them as a splinter guard as I lose at least a pair a month and I hate leaving shards on my skin.
