When I became a first-time mother, I was a little overwhelmed by the variety of diapers. But now with my second, who is 20 months old, I feel like I have a good idea of what works and what doesn't. diapers. For some reason the hospital gave us Pampers diapers both times I had a baby. I didn't like her right away. They had a strong odor that put me off. Babies naturally smell so sweet, why add perfume? It seemed to me that I'm overpaying for something that doesn't bring any benefit. Luvs is an inexpensive choice but very flexible. You can hear the swish of the diaper when your baby moves. Also they had an offensive chemical smell but the price was right as we needed something on a budget. Generic - for a while we really liked regular Costco and Sams Club diapers, but as my kids got older I noticed they left red marks where I rubbed my legs and thighs. Huggies - In the end, I settled on huggies for both kids. The quality was good, it wasn't all plastic but it was soft and contained dirt and moisture. Huggies has three types of diapers - Little Snugglers which I am reviewing right now, they are perfect for newborns. The nappies come with a wetness indicator for new parents who need a little help figuring out when their baby needs to be changed. They are soft and newborns have a cut-out for the umbilical cord. Plus, of the entire Huggies line, these are the best for baby skin. It is more breathable and odorless. The only thing that confuses me is that the Little Snugglers line goes up to a size 5, which is over 27 pounds. If your baby is so big, why do you still need a wetness indicator? Surely you already know when your child needs to be changed? It just seems like you're paying for a useless feature. - Clean and dry is the most economical choice. I used it when the kids were 3-12 months old. Went like clockwork. But when they started moving and getting active I noticed little red rubbing marks around my legs and hips so I switched to Little Movers which fit me perfectly. They have more elasticity and are much more comfortable. And of course I tried other diapers like Seventh Generation but because of the budget they just weren't a permanent option for us. my son when he was a baby and now my daughter.
