I bought this thinking it was going to be poorly made. I thought the eyes looked too big, I couldn't really make anything out in the companies photos. Also, in the description it states "even a girl can do it" regarding bending the tentacles. I recieved item exactly when stated in a small box that did have some weight to it. Inside was the octopus with tentacles bent downward to fit, some literature from company and a pair of white gloves. I don't work out but I do have a laborious job so I don't feel like I have feeble, girl arms. Well, these tentacles are not easy to bend, the weld is good, theres a strong metal rod in each one. I had to gently push it on the counter to form the arms the way I wanted. I didn't feel like I needed to be super careful with it either. Although I would suggest gently moving the part where the candle holder meets just because it is welded and it's not that big of a weld. I was super surprised by the quality of this. My intention was to get it shaped how I want and then spray paint it, but I'm not sure now. The color is not that bad. Photos show how much space is in candle holder using a standard tea light sized candle. I got this for $7 and change, if I see it again I will buy another one for my daughter. Just measured it. I was able to get 13 inches wide and 6.5 inches high. I could see possibly getting a bit more height and width depending on how you shape them. Really good find! Edit 6/14 started painting krylon in satin sea glass.
