upset that it just turns out to be gelatin. looks like melted snow. There weren't really proportions or instructions on how much water to add so I watched a few videos but even adding some or enough water still doesn't look like real snow.

My daughter owns an online slime shop and has been trying to use this fake snow to make clouds and ice/jelly slime. The snow does not expand properly in either the white school glue or the clear glue sludge, resulting in heavy snowfall and a more than undesirable, very coarse and wet texture. The slime made from this fake snow could not be sold. She bought better snow for less money.

It's "For Slime" but it's actually awful. I like the shovel that comes with it, but it's not fun to play with. I spent an entire bottle of activator to activate a 12 ounce slime that contained just a little instant snow. The vial of activator should be enough for 20 ounces of slime... Whenever I thought I'd activated the slime, it melted again. Please if you want this for slime DO NOT BUY.

While this makes gifting easy and fun, the consequences aren't that great. Place this stuff in an open-top container (I had a large metal beverage container that we used), add water and boom, instant "snow". I'm disappointed because I used it in a kids science class but changed my mind after trying it. I was expecting it to be similar to the fun instant snow I've used before, but it's not. It's spongy. When you add water, it looks more like slush or white clumps than loose snow. It doesn't include instructions on how much water to add.
