I have been using this brand for 7 years and originally chose it for the ingredients in other dog foods that lacked quality and nutritional value. She is standard Yorkshire Terrier size, not a teacup. She never got human food. She always enjoys eating and I checked Dog Food Advisor's website and never saw her have any problems. You put in your dog food and he explains what each ingredient is and how nutritious it is. She keeps her weight stable, she has energy. When you sign up on this site you won't believe what other dog foods have. I didn't give her any other flavor either. Dye free (that's why there are dark spots in the corners of the eyes or patches of hair around the eyes) I was shocked that other companies do this but they appeal to the owner's gaze, the dog doesn't care what it looks like . I usually feed with a big piece (it's also small but bigger than this is very small) and it was a mistake with the small piece, she knew it was different lol. We had to talk her into eating the first few times, but she adapted well. The price is good for an above average dog food, we were happy to find it at Revain to send to relatives so we didn't have to pack it in a suitcase. her stools are always formed and I think due to more nutrients she only goes 2 times a day. The main ingredient is meat. She's my service dog, she has a shiny coat, weighs 10 pounds and gets the job done. I used it as a treat when she was younger and then she got smarter. She gets a bully stick every night after dinner and chews it for 15 minutes. Her vet is amazed that her Tarter Free teeth (from Bully Stick made from 100% beef) are stored in the freezer and then placed back in the freezer in a separate bag, as well as stable weight, coat and overall health. She never got sick. The vet asked me what we feed and about her tooth decay free teeth that have never had to be brushed by a professional, we brush 2 times a week. You can get samples of this at your local stores to try and find out what's in the dog food you're feeding your dog... You'll be surprised at how many ingredients are included and traded in for one of their many flavors.
