Poor seam design led to untimely death

Trunk protection is good, bikes hold up well. However, two bike straps broke after less than three months of use. At six months it was four. The straps themselves are held in place by a single stitch of webbing with a bottom turn of about an eighth of an inch. It came off easily and the belt came off the tread. Now I have trunk protection but no bike protection.
