I was very impressed with this collar when it came out. It fit the dog well and seemed very durable. But after about a month we noticed that the fur where the clasp touched his neck was worn away. I have never used a locking martingale collar and will not do so again. The photo shows a scratch on the neck of our 7 month old puppy. We switched from a collar to a vest while it's healing. That's his vest you see in the photo.
