We use this in the kids bathtub. It is a pretty standard rubber mat. The bubble texture gives it a tiny bit of softness, but it is not squishy or plush. My kids have not problem sitting or standing on it.
- Not hard and stiff. Can stand on it and not feel the suction cups.
- The material may have an uncomfortable feel on bare feet
