I put this on my F55 so it had 15mm rails in front that went to the matte box and I could put the 501 plate on the bottom to attach to a shoulder strap or on a tripod to deliver. I really like this system because it allows me to store the matte box and other accessories with the camera without having to disassemble the setup to go from a shoulder to a tripod or slider or whatever.
