I use my phone mostly naked, without a case. However, when I'm going to a place that I know there's a good chance of being hit, dropped, or hit, I want things to go really fast. I used my Apple branded case for this. Total Beats actually works easier and finishes quicker than Apple. It has a texture that is pleasant to the touch without being sticky or too sticky. I was very pleasantly surprised. The feel, fit, texture and ease of use exceeded my expectations. Unfortunately, MagSafe doesn't work through a case. Qi charging is spotty but can work through the case if aligned perfectly, but the MagSafe magnets aren't strong enough to secure the phone to the back.
