If you have to move hoses and/or sprinklers around a lot, you might consider getting some of these. They truly are quick connect and disconnect. Just have enough to fit all your hoses, faucets, nozzles, sprinklers, etc.Be sure to have a good washer in each as well as in any device attached, which probably should be replaced at least yearly.I was having trouble with one fitting where male and female parts would't stay connected under pressure and got it working again. First, I noticed that the miniature ball bearings inside were not moving freely (probably due to mineral build-up from the water supply). I sprayed inside thoroughly with WD-40 while working the balls around with my fingers. Just took a minute or two. Then I noticed that sometimes I needed to push the two parts together a little extra hard, against the springiness, .to ensure they caught together.Now whenever replacing a hose washer around one of these, I am sure to rejuvenate it with some WD-40 spray, and have had no more trouble.These have been so handy during the last year or two, I am now ordering another set to cover the rest of my connections.
