To be honest I love this camera. I've owned it for a year now and have used it for a variety of purposes from filming to photoshoots to travel photos. For those who didn't know much about cameras for the first half year of use, this camera was impressive and gave me some really unique shots. Let's start with my favorite features: The movable screen is incredibly useful. On the screen, you can not only take cute selfies and vlogs, but also take pictures from an angle. Especially when I'm outdoors, the idea of laying down on the ground to line up the shot isn't appealing, and after a long day of shooting I'm too tired to maneuver like that. This camera allows me to take low angle shots by flipping up the screen and holding the camera on my lap. All I have to do is lean forward and the touchscreen can be incredibly helpful to focus in the same instance. The camera is lightweight and portable, I've taken it with me on trips with ease. The battery lasts forever, I can't tell you how many times I forgot to charge it and it was still a full day of shooting without any problems. The battery also charges quickly. So when you wake up and it's empty, it takes no more than an hour to fully charge it (rough estimate). My main motivation for buying this camera was film. I'm currently shooting a short film and I love playing around with the video when my friends and I go on short trips. I've done extensive research on what works best and I wouldn't pick any other camera than this one. After a year of use, I'm happy to say that it's still up to date. The screen's portability and touchscreen capabilities make it easy to record high-quality videos. The camera is compact and lightweight, making blogging easy. The built-in microphone is of fairly high quality, and for filming on the go I was able to get good audio without buying a microphone. There are several disadvantages. I had few control problems at first, but that may be because I'm not familiar with cameras in general. Sometimes I wish this camera had a viewfinder. The attachment is available for purchase and I would recommend it to anyone who is serious about photography. This is partly a personal preference, I think using the viewfinder could feel more natural. I have not yet purchased this unit so I cannot speak to the quality of what is included in some of these kits. However, when I'm shooting on film or using a friend's DSLR, the viewfinder can make some shots more convenient. Others are better off with a screen. Focus can sometimes wobble a little when left on auto, but switching to manual is an easy fix, it just takes a little longer. The only other real problem I had was finding lenses that were compatible with this body. There is an adapter that I did not buy. I've only used the housing with an 18-55 lens and it worked great, there were very few occasions when I needed more reach. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons. If you are looking for a solid camera at a reasonable price I cannot recommend this one more highly.
