Pleasantly surprised I love my fireplace so I miss it when I live in the desert in the summer I have candles with rechargeable AA batteries that have not yet needed charging, 3 weeks use for 4 hours daily from 19 :00 to 23:00. There is a timer on the remote control. You can set it to 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. They appear at the same time every day during the period you choose. It also has a "candle" or "light" option, as well as an increase or decrease in brightness. I point the remote control and press. Click Candle. Then press the 4HR button. That's all. I only had to use the remote twice, after the first week I switched the setting from 2HR to 4HR. When I hit the power button, one of them didn't light up, so I hit the off button (they all went off), then turned it back on and they all synced again. They have worked flawlessly every night, there is about a 2 minute delay between the 1st and 5th candle when the timers start. But wait, they all glow. Flame: It makes a very faint crackling sound. From a distance of 2 feet, it looks surprisingly real. Part of the flame is waved for a flickering effect and it works, it looks like a flickering candle. .They appear to be covered in real wax. Wrapping the magic light around is really beautiful.
