Well I've been using it every day for 5 weeks and today it shorted out and my laptop started smoking (it literally smelled like smoke because there's something fried in it). I thought maybe there was something in the computer and not the charger. Well that was a mistake because I then plugged in my phone (which I've done countless times before) and it's not fried either. so 2 devices that now won't turn on at all because of this charger. Caution, when using this device, the USB connector to the cable may not be properly connected and something in the USB-C portion of the charger may cause a short circuit, causing your device to fail.
