On Mac 15.5.2 the installation was easy. I didn't use the discs in the box, instead I downloaded the software from their website. Finding the right colors was the biggest challenge when setting up. The default was too red. I don't know exactly how I got the correct result, just further adjusted the variables. It took more than ten minutes and less than an hour. A few things I couldn't figure out myself were quickly resolved with a call to tech support. This involved moving the scanned files to another location on my computer and getting black background images to scan for black edges, giving me a fully scanned image. A few more thoughts: My old Epson was small, with a bed measuring 8.5 x 11.7. I knew this scanner was going to be a lot bigger, but I really had no idea how much bigger the device was going to be! Luckily I have a place for it. Also, it's a bit noisy. Not a problem for me, but worth mentioning.
