Review on πŸ”Š Altec Lansing inMotion iM7 Portable Audio System for iPod (White): Immersive Sound On-the-Go! by Gerald Mcrae

Revainrating 5 out of 5

VERY high quality sound!

I work in the music store and I know a good sound when I hear it. This device is AWESOME! It's not just about deep bass or crisp highs, it's about everything in the range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz! For a portable stereo system with small speakers, this is AMAZING! There's no gaping hole at the crossover point, and no ridiculous bass or treble boost. However, if you want more bass, this will distort you like crazy long after the same size boxes! The only downside to the iM7 is that you have to be careful with the iPod flap. I've read that other people have had a break with them and I understand why. It's not that fragile, but it's not strong either. Mine didn't break, but that's because I knew about the problem before I bought it. Also if it breaks in the future I don't mind because my ears are a higher priority and I LOVE how the iM7 sounds! Sound is something very subjective. Bring 10 different people together, give them a set of speakers to listen to, and you'll get 10 different opinions. This is because we all like different things and suffer from different levels of hearing loss. Some people like lots of bass, others like lots of highs or mids. It also depends on what kind of music you prefer to listen to. The best thing to do is close your eyes and listen to yourself. If you don't know what good sound is, ask a friend who seems to know more. Don't ask the seller because he/she just wants you to buy something. If you're looking for small, portable speakers for your iPod, you MUST try Altec Lansing!
