I'm giving these three stars based on the color and the clips. The color almost matches the natural gray that I have growing in, so that part is awesome. Also, another positive is that the clips are pretty sturdy. Now the negatives.The worst is the smell. They have a potent smell of mildew. It's as if someone had left them in a wet basement for 20 years. I haven't tried washing them yet, so that may be something that's fixable. but really, who wants to spend money on something and have to "fix" it right off the bat? I'm not sure, but the smell may be there because of the plastic that they are packaged in. I may just try airing them out and then storing them in a different package.The other negative that I knocked off a star for is the thickness. These are very thin. If you already have thick hair and you're using these for either pops of color or just in places where you may be losing a little hair, these may work for you.One last thing, they do tangle very quickly. One tangled within minutes, and it wouldn't brush out with my fingers or by gently and carefully combing it. I cut the tangled out with a scissors.
