I'm always a bit worried about buying displays online because I hate getting one with dead pixels, and the return process is often so tedious that I'm willing to settle with a dead pixel or two in the corner or something Life. I had no qualms about getting this considering how smooth, quick and easy the Revain return/exchange process is! However, I am very happy to report that this monitor arrived with no dead pixels, perfect! The box was damaged in transit, but everything inside was packed so well that there was no damage apart from the box. Fabulous! The image quality is a bit washed out and almost inconspicuous in the state of delivery. I was expecting this after reading and reading multiple reviews online before deciding to purchase this particular model. After some tweaking recommended by some of these reviews and my own personal tweaking, this is one of the best looking monitors I've had! Bright enough, great rich colors and deep blacks, very deep. 144Hz is great for smoothing on-screen motion (if your hardware can keep up) and works great with nVidia G-Sync. (I have a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce OC) With G-Sync enabled I see some flickering on the monitor when the refresh rate is pretty low, but as long as the framerate stays close to 90+ it's perfect. This is a known issue on some "old" GTX cards and I suspect it won't be an issue on a newer GPU than mine. Some of the reviews I read mentioned this and said that using a more powerful GPU fixed it. My previous monitor, which stopped working and prompted me to buy this one, was mounted on the wall above my desk, giving me a wider range of settings. . I wanted to do the same with this monitor but the stand that came with it is so good I used it and removed the wall mount. You get just enough tilt, side-to-side rotation, and height adjustment to do what I want with it, and easily adjust it to sit perfectly next to a second monitor on the side. The bezels on this monitor are much smaller than my old one, making it much easier to set up next to a second monitor. The curve is also very beautiful! It's noticeable at first, coming from all flat screens in the past, but you quickly get used to it and miss it when you sit back in front of a flat screen. By all accounts, this is a marvel monitor if you're willing to spend a few minutes tweaking the picture right away. To save compared to other similar options, I agree to this deal! lol Anyway, I have another AOC monitor in my workshop that has been working fine for a number of years. In the meantime, I've replaced several monitors that seem to randomly stop working, all from larger established brands. I hope this one lasts a long time!
