I have a personal Home Media Server and I don't have enough storage space. To avoid losing data either, I bought a RAID controller card and two hot-swappable 3.5" hard drive bays to keep my two purchased 6TB hard drives in the machine for access in the event of a failure accommodate. With this kit I was able to connect both bays to the last HD PSU I had from my PSU and I had the extra STAT cable I needed to connect both drives to the RAID controller card. I now have the flexibility to go beyond just swapping out drives In the event of a failure, I can now replace drives with larger drives as needed. With this kit and the hard drive bays, I would buy them again if I ever needed them. So easy to set up, connect and install, this little reservation became an easy task.
