I have this and it's so cute. Filled it with hand sanitizer. I held it in my hand, shook it, shook it, shook it, and shook it again and nothing came out. You must have it on a flat surface to inflate properly. Put it on the edge of the table, slide the bowl, and it worked. Very beautiful. It seems like a well-made hose is reliable and tight at all necessary parts. I was afraid the hose would slip off, but it's ok. I will be purchasing more shell colors for different contents (lotion, soap, sunscreen, etc.). Update: After putting the sanitizer that originally smelled like cucumbers in this dispenser, the sanitizer started smelling. Since I don't eat it, I'm not worried. But the smell can come from the plastic. When I refill it, I line it up with a sandwich bag and then refill it instead. Update: The sandwich bag didn't work for me, the smell got through.
