Once assembled and installed, this device is quite attractive but not easy to get to. Assembly was fairly easy until it came time to install the screws into the round bar. Despite pre-drilling to attach the screws, the bar split immediately - on either side at either end of the bar. I had to drill a few more holes and glue and clamp the connectors together before I could finish the assembly. Luckily it helped. Installing it on the wall was even more difficult. The included mounting screws and wall anchors are ridiculously inadequate. You're almost forced to use the included screws as the screw heads are designed for shelf hangers. Forget those wall anchors when installing on drywall; You'll have to provide your own, which actually work on drywall. The size of the mounting template doesn't seem entirely accurate either - I laid it out on the wall, tightened it, and taped it in place; Even so, the screw heads did not line up with the suspension slots. As other reviewers have pointed out, and I agree with their comments, measure the distance between the centers of the hanger slots and use that measurement to position the screw hangers. After giving up the template and using my own measurements, the screws matched the hanging holes on the first try. I agree this is a very attractive shelf and once assembled and installed with the correct hangers it is actually quite solid. I was willing to give it 5 stars (since one can't expect much from a very light shelf), but I felt - given the problems with repairing cracks, not quite the right template, etc. totally inadequate drywall hangers - three stars justified.
