I love writing good reviews. I mean, I actually hate writing reviews, but since I rely on them so much, contributing is the right thing to do. My daughter is 56 pounds and 48 inches tall; thin but not too thin and straight on all sides so she is quite proportioned except for her tiny belly. She wears a 7/8 Walmart with room to grow and at least 4 inches to the hem of her pants (although we're just driving). It also has a 7/8 rating on Children's Place, but it has more room for growth than Walmart. The skirts of her size 7 CP uniform hit just below the knee (but the sewn-in shorts prevent the skirt from being worn above the waist and it rides well below the belly button) and the belt needs to be tightened in 3 places on each side ; Polo shirts are long, but I prefer them so you don't see her back when she bends over. We like to be a little humble. This dress is 7-8 years old for me and fits perfectly. I was concerned about the photo that it would be too short but I was willing to wear it as a tunic and pair it with pants if needed. It turns out that knee high socks/stockings/tights up to the knee are quite suitable as they fall just below the knees. They fit her a little more than the model so the waist is also lower but I think they look so much better. And the arms aren't too long, which is always the case with long sleeves. The ruffles at the wrists make him cute even when handcuffed (and he still looks "inside out"). Ordering clothes made in Asia is always risky, but I do it when it's really cute (like this dress). This is a quality item for sure. Absolutely fine workmanship - no protruding threads, nothing uneven, mother-of-pearl buttons are reliable. The fabric is as described - soft (doesn't sting at all), dense and heavy. This is a very solid dress that is perfect for cold climate winters. I bought it for school but maybe it's really too fancy. I could see this being used for a special occasion/wedding/holiday/photos. The only negative (and why I rated it 4 stars instead of 5) is that there were no washing instructions. I really like that a lot of Asian brands sew labels on the outside (my kids are super sensitive to labels and sometimes cutting them off isn't enough because that annoying part is under the thread) - and I find it funny when people think that it is such a "defective" product 😂. But this dress had no tags on the inside (some have a stack of 3-4 tags or a giant Mondo tag) nor was there anything printed on the fabric. I actually came to Revain looking for washing instructions and thought I'd leave a review since I've been here before. But the product description says nothing, so I guess I'll wash it in the washing machine with her other delicates, lay flat to dry and hope for the best. It's not made out of delicate fabrics (wool, silk, etc) so I'm not too worried. Anyway, this dress did not disappoint. Actually it surprised me. Beautiful, well made, great fit. All in all a wonderful dress - and worth a lot more than the $25 I paid for it.
