Received the radio today. I don't expect emergency weather radios to be large, so the size wasn't unexpected. I will say that everything was packed nice and neatly out of the box. - It looks like there's enough juice to turn on the radio and play around with it for a bit. The VHF channel appeared almost immediately. I'm a bit old fashioned so I like the manual tuner, it was in my previous weather radio so it's not a negative. - The weather area was pretty clear even when I held the device low and away from the window. - The instructions were clear and easy to understand. The radio allows me to use an iPhone charger, so that's a plus. By switching the device to charging mode, the device can charge and recharge the lithium-ion battery. I immediately started charging my phone as if it were plugged into an outlet. The solar panel does not look cheap or fragile. The overhead light came on immediately. - The SOS signal is good and loud, but in an emergency it can be overheard due to the commotion of the neighbors. Hope I never have to use it. I give 4 stars because I never give 5 stars at first. The only downside is that the weather has to be on all the time to get the update. But if I'm ever in a situation where I need to have updates, constantly working with the weather won't be a big problem. Very good job, at least initially, Running Snail!
