It took me less than five minutes to fit and adjust the strap on my watch. And now I feel more confident that I won't lose my watch. I don't trust the leather strap that came with it. My wrist seems to be right between the sizes. I removed three links and it was just a little loose. But removing the fourth link made it too tight. I'm not at all surprised because in the past I've had regular watches that were just as difficult to assemble. However, removing and adding links is so easy that it was worth trying both methods to make sure I found the best match I could get.
