Review on Saw BOSCH Keo, 0600861900 by Mateusz Odachowski ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied, it's a good purchase.

Have been using this saw for quite some time. High accuracy of work is important for me (preferably less than a millimeter), however, both in my saw and in the one tested in the store, the cartridge had a large radial play. Due to backlash, the saw blade can rotate slightly around the axis, as a result, the cut is uneven and can move away from the intended line. Also, when cutting plywood, etc., it is completely invisible where the cut is going. For normal operation of the saw, you need to firmly press the metal stop to what you are cutting, and at the same time, the stop closes the cut line. The fence bought to replace Makita has slots for observing the cut line and a special backlight that helps a lot, especially when sawdust fly and obscure the view. The grip of the saw is not the most comfortable, when working with one hand we hold too far from the blade, which reduces stability and, again, accuracy. Makita has two grips - for the middle of the body and for the handle at the end of the body. As a rule, one-hand grip is used in the work, and it is more convenient to hold the saw by the middle of the body. Finally, a non-replaceable battery does not allow you to work for a long time. With a reciprocating saw, the battery drains quickly, and even a slightly discharged battery will slow the blade down, causing it to vibrate and tear through the material you're sawing. In general, a good cheap saw, positioned for cutting thick branches in the garden, with which it should be quite capable. But if you need precise work and cutting boards / plywood - it's better to splurge on a more expensive model with a replaceable battery, it's worth it. Especially if you already have a fleet of tools with such batteries.

Pros
  • Affordable price, lithium battery, in principle copes with the tasks of cutting thick branches and branches
Cons
  • Low accuracy of work, not very suitable for working with sheet materials, not very comfortable grip, non-replaceable battery
