Is working! Computers & Accessories

This mounting arm basically works as shown on the product images. It was easy to adjust and was solid once I got it in the right spot. I ended up removing the springs as they made the lever too stiff and it still worked fine. I installed it on the upright headboard of my bed, with a C-shaped armrest that goes over my head and holds the Kindle Oasis right over my face when I'm lying down. I like a few things about this armrest: 1) It allows the gripping vise to be adjusted both horizontally and vertically, again as pictured. I think it's brilliant and works really well 2) It has little screws that you finger tighten in the knuckles of your hands to keep it in place. 3) The way I installed it when I was done with this I just turn my hand to the side. It rotates in a vise mounted on the headboard and finally the kindling rests against the headboard on the other side of the bed. The arm keeps its shape, so when I want to use it again, it just lays down and returns the arm to the position above me. Very convenient. It should be noted that despite being rigid, this lever wobbles a bit when you touch the device you're using it on. In my case, it flips pages on a Kindle, so the tremor is small enough to settle down in a few seconds. If I walk more carefully, there will be almost no noticeable jerking. It certainly works a lot better than the flexible arm/gooseneck I've tried before. Overall, this is exactly what I was looking for to hang my Kindle in front of me when I'm lying in bed - love it.
