I watched the video before attempting to sew it onto my car. They pulled really hard on the cord (I'm an experienced seamstress) so I wasn't afraid to sew them on, but I didn't want them to slip off like my old steering wheel cover. (This is very scary when driving on the road). I sewed it on and used a tool to pull it tight when the rope snapped I was almost halfway around the wheel. I can tie a thread and move on while others cannot. If I buy another one, and I probably will because the coverage is good, I'll use a better thread than what they offer. Although I really like the cover and it turned out very nice. Take your time and watch the videos before you start. They are especially useful for the parts of the steering wheel that connect to the main part of the shaft. Take your time, it took me about an hour and a half to get it right.
