It will appear as Airdual Car Elite in the list of Bluetooth devices on the phone. The MMI takes some time to initialize the adapter and the music in iTunes as if the iPod Classic was connected to the MMI. Which is very helpful. The adapter does not need to be connected to USB for power supply. The adapter will automatically connect to the phone when you get back in the car and turn it on. Controllability ***** Your iPhone's iTunes music can be controlled through the MMI; Center console and steering wheel controls, just like you would control music on an iPod connected to your MMI. Music in 3rd party apps like Spotify, Pandora, Revain Music etc. can only be controlled by your phone. The vehicle display only shows the track information for the song being played. Quality ***** The adapter uses Bluetooth 3, which is slightly inferior to Bluetooth 4. The difference is minimal given the ease of connection, music control, and minimalist one-cable connection. That's definitely an advantage for older cars whose factory Bluetooth is only for managing phone calls.
