I am very glad I took the risk of purchasing this hat as the reviews were so mixed. I bought this for a costume for my 2 year old (just turned 2). He's 90 percent head. It suits me perfectly! A snug fit when you fold the lid up and a loose fit when you don't. You may need to practice the hat a little as it tends to poke up at the back like little cat ears. It's soft and actually quite warm, I think it would be great for fall and milder winter days. My son really liked it, he didn't take any photos all day!
