Review on 🌊 Wave-point Super Blue & Daylight Micro Sun LED Clamp Light - 12-Inch, 16-Watt High Output by Angie Cole

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Decent while it lasted and it was a little less than 6 months. I would look elsewhere.

I had it on a small Petco Arc 6.25 tank. The lighting was a little more blue than I would have liked as there is about 2 times more blue than white. It was bright enough to keep some of the LPS coral alive. Color rendition was affected by the blue cast and I wouldn't say the corals thrived but rather survived. While he was working, I wasn't pleased, but I wasn't upset. After about 5 months, the white lights became noticeably dimmer than they originally were, and after another month they were almost completely gone. At that moment I was obviously not satisfied. I've since replaced it with a Current USA Orbit Marine 4100 and while I haven't had it long enough to properly evaluate it, my first impression is that it performs much better. with color rendering and appears significantly brighter even at 60% intensity. If you think this is more important, keep in mind that Orbit includes a 2-channel controller, while this device requires the purchase of a separate timer, so the price difference isn't as big as it seems.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • So far so good
