I've always been a friend of Shoei's, I have a pair of RF1200's and some older models. Simply a good fit and good value for money. Was looking for a high visibility dual sport helmet for my dual sport bike. Shoei didn't have what I wanted. Arai XD4 - wow, ticks all the boxes. Light weight, better fit than even my RF1200, great ventilation and very little or no wind blows without a windbreak. With windscreen depends on your bike and the windscreen setting. The windshield on my other bike is set to blow the wind straight at my helmet, so the XD4 gains a bit, but not as much as I thought and not enough to bother me at all. catcher. I can't count the number of times people have looked my way and started pulling the helmet out and then looking at the helmet twice. I no longer get lost in the crowd. A few drivers gave me a thumbs up, pointed to their heads and nodded. This color is really important. The notches on the visor are excellent, I can crack a little at bus stops or around town if I want to. I can't say enough about this helmet. I'm big on all the other brands and Arai fits in great with the others. I don't have the pressure points that I originally have with my Shoei helmets. They come with wear but this Arai fits from the start and now 2,000 miles later it still fits perfectly. It's expensive compared to some other helmets but the build quality is worth it, the fit is great and people will notice this cap. Arai security is second to none.
