I tried installing headlights with the wiring that came with them and they didn't work. There was a red and black wire at the end of the wire so I connected them to the battery but to no avail. Called a neighbor for help and the first comment was that there was no ground wire. The instructions don't refer to the ground wire at all, and they were so blurry you could barely read them. He ended up helping me install it (or did it for me), but it wasn't easy. After realizing that the wires were too short for my truck and that there were no ground wires, he ended up cutting each wire in half to lengthen it, had to connect a ground for each light and use a fuse from the other harness associate. it to the battery.
