Use: I used this product to power two realistic Minimus 7 speakers I found at a charity event - a great old mini computer speaker. Each of the 8 ohm speakers actually feeds this 2x20W amplifier. They sound great through this amp, amazing tone, very good mid and high coverage. I use the record out to connect the line out to an amazing Sylvania subwoofer (which came with satellite tweeters and midrange - great speakers too). I don't use any high frequencies at all on this setting). I mix music and do a lot of DIY stuff in the studio, I have really good hearing, I work with audio gear with bands and other uses, and I will be using this setup for personal purposes for a while. , I am impressed. Overview: The amp itself does the work, there are 3 RCA inputs, a 1/8" input on the front panel (selectable by switching to CD input with no signal going through the RCA input for the same channel) . ) and a USB input, as well as a 1/4" mic input. I will most likely just be using the RCA inputs and front jack for quick connections. This amp will drive the speakers I use with no signal degradation, the only controls I have Really use are the radio buttons and the volume control.. Both work very well, there are no scratches on the volume.. I don't use bass/treble controls because I have a graphic EQ on my signal line that does the job of balancing out the frequencies I don't use the mic input as it's not needed for my purposes, the record out works very well for my purposes - signal to one output subwoofer. This output is not affected by any controls other than the selector switch. The only negative I really have to say about this unit is that the back panel is where all the patching happens - where all the RCA ins and outs and the speaker outs are really weak it feels like there are no screws on top of the bezel, so that when you insert the connectors you feel like the bezel is about to collapse into the rest of the case. Conclusion: This device is excellent. It does the job, just be careful when connecting and installing as the back panel is very flimsy. If you can find them, the Minimus 7 Realistic speakers are a great match for this device. If you have low powered speakers this will work. This device has many features that work great on my device and I recommend it. Use caution when connecting and disconnecting rear panel components.
