Every nerd was shaking with joy when it arrived. Then came the boring, practical moments, and the party was over before it even started. They look great - even better than expected; However, what I knew in my heart when I ordered them became crystal clear when I placed a chilled, sweaty drink on top - there was nowhere for liquid to go. Depending on the environment, condensation or spills will collect and/or run right off one of those delightfully useless coasters. I think they still will, in a pinch if you're hyper-alert, for the duration of your refresher. Unfortunately, I'm looking for a more protective alternative.
