I bought this to replace plastic IKEA suction hooks that kept falling off after a few weeks of use. I was skeptical about buying another set of suction hooks other than I really didn't feel like drilling holes in the tile. I'm pleasantly surprised! It's been installed for over a month and they're holding up really well! I hang large bath towels (sometimes wet) on it and it holds up really well. Installation was easy, the tile was wiped with alcohol, glued and tightened and left overnight before hanging anything on it. I have a polished porcelain stoneware tile that is a required finish. As for the hardware, the hook was metal and the faceplate was plastic, spray-painted chrome, but it doesn't look cheap. I'm glad I bought them, I'll be releasing an update in 6 months!
