So, this is an interesting formula.I got the color 23, which I think is called Nutty Nude, and it’s a nice brownish nude color that is slightly darker than my natural lip color. The bottle/component is shaped like a dropper bottle you find in skincare. The bottle feels like actual glass with a soft touch coating on it. And the lid while looking like a dropper is actually a triangular doe foot applicator.The color of the component is the color of the product, so that’s nice. It has a whipped mousse texture, and a fruity type smell. It smooths on easily, and has a hydrating feel. But like most whipped formulas, it doesn’t completely dry down. And I didn’t notice any staining that the product claimed to have. But that could be due to it being so close to my natural lip color.It has a matte finish, but not a matte formula. Like I said earlier, it doesn’t completely dry down, therefore it will transfer and wear off over time. It didn’t dry out my lips, but due to the winter weather it did feel a little drying after a few hours of wear. I chalk this up to not having my usual lip balm on to combat my winter dry lips that I develop every year around this time. It’s not really an appropriate formula to mix with a gloss because of its texture and lack of dry down. Personally, I think I would like this formula much better in the warmer months when my lips aren’t so dry.All in all, it’s not a bad formula and I think that I will get a decent amount of use out of it once my lips settle down. If you like a matte lip look, but hate the matte lip feel then you might want to give this a try.
