Review on Tinpec Automotive Windshield Sun Shade - Blocks Heat & Sun, Fits Most Cars/Trucks (63X33.8") by Pat Haberman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Limited lifespan. But still pretty good for the price

Got this about a year ago for a late model Nissan Leaf. Wanted to use a sunshade to help protect the dash board from the sun and also keep the inside of the windshield from getting oily (as the sun breaks down the plastic dash board, it emits a gas which is what causes the inside of the windshield to get dirty). It worked really good for about a year, when the wire started to tear out of the shade material. Tried to repair it but the material is simply deteriorating rather than the stitching coming loose or something. In any case though, I felt it inexpensive enough to buy another one since it did do the job.I give it 3 stars.

Pros
  • keep the sun outside were it belongs
Cons
  • The sun shade is difficult to install and secure in place, requiring additional tools not included with the product
