I was looking for a processor to replace the old amd Athlon II x2 215 for a long time. I decided to stop at 955. I was tempted by the advantages described above, especially the unlocked multiplier. After the purchase, the problem with freezes (full) in applications immediately began. Ran it with tests. It turns out that the cooler (far from the worst, better than the boxed one) cannot give the processor proper cooling even without overclocking. The problem was solved by lowering the voltage and frequency of the processor (1.5v -> 1.35v, 3.2 Ghz -> 2.7Ghz) Naturally, this did not build me. The next day, I changed it to amd phenom II x4 b95 (an excellent percentage with low heat dissipation). The cooler easily copes with the maximum load now - there is still 10 seconds left. CONCLUSION: The processor is excellent, with overclocking potential, but requires a powerful cooling system
