I have a pair of Lucidsound Ls25/30/ and 40 headphones, the top headband for LS40 broke after 2 consecutive uses (sometime up to 5+ hours per day), and when I saw the LS31 was on sale I jumped at it (as a fan of Lucidsound and having spoken to their reps at E3 2017). I connected them to my PS4 Pro as did my LS40 nnnnnd. they sound amazing.1. The sound was muddy: The first thing I noticed was that the sound was muddy or muffled, didn't sound clear, and the bass took over the mods and treble, even after trying different EQ modes. 2. Not loud at all: Then I noticed the audio was low, then I cranked the volume all the way up and they sounded the equivalent of 30 maybe 40% LS40, even with my LS25 plugged into the controller at 50% it was louder than the maximum volume on the LS31. I sent it back and since Lucidsound doesn't support LS40s for parts I took my Ls30 headband and swapped them out for LS40s and to be honest the LS40 is nicer to wear with a Ls30 headband than the original Ls40 one headband. So in summary I was disappointed with the LS31 as I felt it had taken a step down in sound quality where the only difference between the headset and the LS30 was the black to smoky gray colour. Since Lucidsound couldn't help me with my Ls40 either, I ended up making them better than the original product.
