In our small beach cottage, the cabinets are from the 1950's . everything is tiny, so storage space is at a premium. We cook (BBQ) most nights we are there, so we have a lot of rubs and spices and rummaging around in the cabinet looking for a spice can be annoying as all the bottles fall out being stacked on top of each other. I needed a solution but most lazy Susans or tiered cabinet shelves were too long, either way, to fit in the cabinet and close the door. The measurements of this were just under 11 inches in width at 10.6 inches, allowing the door to close.To me, these seem a bit small to use for laundry detergent or spray bottles. It's perfect for Tabasco bottles, larger pepper mills, etc. It also fits the base for my Ninja food processor nicely, which always seems to get in the way and fall into 3 pieces when not in a contained shelf. My cabinets are also not that high, so I can lay a few of my seldom used spice bottles in the top tray . or this would be perfect for tea bags or sugar packets. (or medicines . small aspirin bottles, bandages, etc.)I like that the bottom shelf is wider than the top because this allows for taller bottles to be stored in the bottom shelf. Having the bottom shelf slide out would beHaving the bottom shelf slide out on tracks is convenient for under-sink storage or in small vanity cabinets . this is a real space saver. It's also very sturdy . made of metal and it won't bend or dent easily. The lower drawer's sliding track is well done and glides evenly and smoothly.Overall, putting this together was very easy and required only a small screwdriver. I am glad I ordered this . there are many like it but this is the only one I've seen that has the wider shelf on the bottom and a narrower shelf on top . and the measurements are smaller than the others, making it perfect for our small shelves.If you are looking for a portable shelf system for small vanities or cabinets, this really works well and for the price and quality its a great value. This won't store a ton of stuff . or very large bottles . but what it does hold is much more organized than if it was stacked up in your cupboard/vanity.
